for 1855, with octagonal 7 1/2in. barrel, the top-flat signed 'ADDRESS COL COLT, LONDON', London proofs, plain cylinder with traces of roll engraved scene, open iron frame signed 'COLT'S PATENT', iron grip-straps and trigger-guard bow, smooth walnut one-piece grip and articulated under-barrel loading lever, the whole stripped of finish and 'in the white' (some pitting)
